Overview:

Form 941 changed dramatically for 2020 and 2021 due to various COVID-related payroll changes. For 2022, the form is starting to revert back to “normal,” and this webinar will discuss the changes to the form and how it looks now. We will have various case studies to dive deeper into how to report various items on the Form 941, including Schedule B of Form 941. We will also discuss other payroll-related issues including Form W-2 and 1099-NEC, and other topics relating to independent contractors. The employee retention credit (ERC) has closed and is not available in 2022, but you can still make retroactive claims of missed credits for 2020 and 2021, and we will cover how to do this.

Session Highlight:

·       What the new Form 941 looks like

·       Form 941 scenarios

·       Other payroll updates

·       Employee retention credit

Benefits For Attending:

This webinar will cover Form 941 changes, what’s new, and how to claim missed ERC credits. Also, you will learn:

Why You Should Attend:

Congress has passed special provisions relating to COVID-19, including the ability to defer payment on employer-side Social Security tax, a tax credit for qualifying businesses called the “Employee Retention Credit,” and a tax credit for mandatory sick leave paid under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. In response to these provisions, the IRS has released a new version of Form 941 for quarterly payroll filings, and a new form called Form 7200 for getting refunds of the tax credits. We will talk about how all of these provisions and forms tie together and we will also discuss how Payroll Protection Program (PPP) loans enter into the mix on this. Learn about these changes and more in this webinar.
